Okay finaly I've recorded something.
At some points of the game (eg: the blue checkered area) the game does slowdowns on multiplayer. Not sure what it is.

That's why rearview mirror was disabled :)

P.S. Seems u like drifting so much :D

I like this project so far, as it really felt like the driver 2 splitscreen multiplayer mode without damage bar.
You really seem to aim for authenticity here. Thats a good thing.

Question about multiplayer though.
Are you going to build a protection against modified files? (like an "out-of-sync" message)

Yep, thats was a cause that i've fixed

Yes, of course, it's a necessary for client, but only with vehicle configurations and level file consistency. Sounds, models, textures at all will not be checked



Here is a latest build. Changes: threaded region loading, game shouldn't get little freezes while driving (that is not tested enough), networking code changes and other minor.

I'm just trying to make it close to Driver 1/2 at this stage and it may be very different in final game. Vehicles goes faster in my game, on PS1 it might be a technical limit.

I agree with everyone else here. Porting should come after you've finished with one version of the game. Otherwise we'll end up with something not unlike Driver PC vs. PS1.

I'm don't understand how to play with other people. With Hamachi ?
Same with the "client launcher", i have to put it in the same folder than the .exe but is it a txt file or how should i name it ?

Also, i made a threat (EDIT : hum thread) at driver-dimension to spread the project !

Added lighting effects, further there will be more
