Yes and no... DSF in a way was a disappointment. While it stayed through for the original, nostalgic Driver feel it still felt really empty. Multiplayer is what's so far kept me interested in it but yeah. If they'll actually push out a full game without having to abide that 60fps restriction bullsh**, sure Ubisoft should keep at it. If they keep abiding it and having their game restricted from a lot of cool features, no thanks.

Ubisoft has done a good job with Driver so far. It wasn't really Ubisoft's fault that Driver: San Francisco was a slight disappointment. It was the decision on Reflections' behalf to have the game run at a constant 60FPS (even at the expense of game features). Within Reflections itself is management, and it was probably made somewhere down the line in management. It was even approved by Martin Edmonson himself, and we all know he is the true mastermind behind the Driver games.

Shorter answer: No.

No! I loved Driver: San Francisco and still play it every day. Ubisoft saved Driver and no other company (except perhaps even bigger ones) could have done what Ubisoft did. Martin and Gareth said it themselves: Ubisoft turned their “Dream-Driver” into reality, that means with licensed cars, and proper handling, and so on. Of course there’s always room for improvement, but the game itself is already so good and I’m pretty sure it’s only the start of a new era for Driver…

If the studio implements good controls, graphics and cool licensed cars, yes. But I still think that the Edmondsons should be story supervisors or something. I love DSF, but the story just seemed... out of place for a series originally inspired by 70's movie car chases.

Atari was at one point publishing Driver games, not developing them. And to be honest, Driver did not change too much from Driv3r to Parallel Lines. If somewhere, that major leap was in between Driver 2 and Driv3r, and after that around Driver Parallel Lines and Driver San Francisco.

Also, Reflections are still here. What on earth are you talking about?

Pre mid 2006 = Reflections Interactive [Publisher: Atari (D3 and D4) GT Interactive (D1 and D2)]
After 2006 = Ubisoft Reflections (Publisher: Ubisoft)

Hope you now understand the difference between publisher and developer studio.
