As far as I'm aware, this only works on PC (that also includes making cars stay still glitch) unless it's something to do with not completing the game.

Basically I got myself the GMC Ambulance, which then magically turns itself into a Chevrolet Truck, but just looks weird, has no sound or a proper cock pit cam.

The wheelmodel changed too, but it didn't look like it was using the GMC Topkick ambulance's wheelmodel. Actually, I think it was using the "FASTWHEEL(wheel in motion)" version of the C-10's wheel, even when you just had it parked/stationary.

Yeah, you might be right. I've done the glitch a couple more times now and I'm not sure if it's the wheels from Tanner's Dodge (probably not) as the wheels above appeared on some other glitched cars too. I'll upload them soon. The cars also decided to go a bright red colour, and it doesn't happen just with the ambulance.

If I'm not mistaken, there was originally an old-style GMC ambulance in the game. Maybe this is the result of an unexpected glitch? I remember poking around in the files before and noticing that the ambulance we have now was, in a sense, "copy-pasted" over the old one. It used assets from the Chevy truck. So yeah...

Skip to 1:20 to see other vehicles looking odd. (If you have already seen the video above)
I might as well tell the full story. In another thread I made one called 'Parked Cars...' in which I showed a video of cars staying still in Driver SF (it's a glitch) and you can put them anywhere you want and they won't drive off. (Normally, they always drive away, unless wrecked of course). I went to the garage and wanted to park an ambulance at a 'pile up' that I was going to create for a video. However, whilst editing in film director I noticed that the ambulance had turned into Tanner's Dodge, but with no boot (trunk). Somehow I never noticed this whilst 'filming'. Anyway, I tried to re- create what I had done, which was do the 'parked cars glitch', then get the ambulance out of the garage, park it somewhere, get another vehicle out of the garage (the Chevy) and saw that it did this weird glitch. Oh, and you can do the glitch with nearly every vehicle (not just the ambulance), I've used a big truck and a Chevrolet Camaro too. Not tried all vehicles yet (and probably won't lol)

It may also indicate a missing texture. That sort of stuff doesn't get exported to games (unless they edit stuff within the game engine itself, which is very rare).

It is most likely a dev texture that takes it's place when the intended textures cannot be loaded due to whatever reason.
