As far I remember, when you played your game cd in a cd player, the music files started to play in city order. Unfortunately I was to young back then to even think of making a copy, and now the cd is just lost :(
So I was wondering, has anyone managed to do a bitperfect copy of the tracks in the game? All i have found around the net are crappy mp3 files. What I'm talking about is actually extracting the uncompressed audio files directly from the cd. I would love to have those around. Quality must be awesome.
If someone has the cd around, can you give it a try, I'll be glad to guide trough the process ;) Thanks!

oh man that's exactly what I'm talking about! You could actually use a program like EAC or Cue Tools to rip them to flac (it's usually 1/3 the size and quality is exactly the same) but wavs can do just fine :D
If you could upload them somewhere I could encode them to flac and up them here for you all to enjoy :)

yeah from what I read there are lots of copies around without the music layer. That's a real bummer :(
There's got to be someone around here with the complete version just lying in the dust though. It's the biggest Driver community I could find =)

RacingFreak I think I found the post you are talking about.
The link is obviously down, but maybe seeing it can help you remember where you could have stored those wavs :?:
That manual artwork ripping idea btw is totally genius! I'm trying that as soon as I get home from an iso of the disk I've got from the net :D (no music there though :()

Ha! That brings in some memories :)

Luckily my account for adrive is still active, so I can simply get a shared link:

(it's going to expire soon aswell. I will make mirror in meantime)

Cheers, drive on! :specialdriver:

BTW, with the help of max.thunder1 and other fellas, we also figured that these songs were taken from KPM Series discs and thus know the real authors of them.
