Hi there! As some of you have already seen, I have a 2004 Dell Optiplex gx280 that I very luckly bearly fell on, and is running 110%! Now, all is perfect, PERFECT! But, I have donloaded Garry's Mod and DRIV3R to it and here's my result: (I have an intergraded video chip on this beauty with 128mb video memory by the way :D ) Attempt to open DRIV3R: "Directx ERROR, could not draw any polygons... or somthing of that nature." Garry's Mod: (Remember this Dell is far above the specs for both games): Game runs with only 4fps, and lighting, textures, and polygons all load incorrectly or not at all. So here's my question: From my knolage and experience, it can only be a problem with the video chip, perminate damage, and because it's part of the motherboard, the entire motherboard would need replacement. What do you all think? (I have a brand new spare motherboard for this, just asking before I tear this machine completely apart and put it back together). :)

Dude I used to have that same video card except it was made by MSI, those cards SUCK. You're better off with going with a GTX something.

It is also important to note if you have the low profile dell optiplex a full sized graphics card won't fit you will need a low profile graphics card. Also don't let anyone con you into getting a graphics card over $50 a system as old as yours won't get the full advantage of one of the more expensive graphics cards as your cpu/fsb would bottleneck the entire thing and extra graphics card would be a waste.

I'd also say this is probably better value, being a newer budget card. Though I haven't researched it properly so be sure to check the reviews.
