You have finished playing the demo. Now take some time to provide feedback for your experience. Post glitches, comments, thoughts, questions (even if not related to this exact demo), ideas, and everything else you can think of.

Things I forgot to mention in the demo:
-Side hits are instant kills (meant for realism)
-Explosions were taken out of the demo for memory reasons (will be fixed in full version)
-The wrecked car is not programmed to collide with anything for memory reasons (will be fixed in full version)
-Traffic vehicles and cops DO NOT ACT LIKE THAT IN FINAL GAME
-Vehicles will not be that big (vehicles will be 2x smaller in game)
-Game will be full screen
-Moddable File Names will not be the same in full game
-To mod the demo, use "clean.gif", "damage1.gif", and "damage2.gif"
-Damage models driving away on their own? you created your mod wrong. you need a perfect outline of your clean vehicle on each damage model. look at the default damage models if you need help
-Default damage models are not perfect, so there is a chance they will drive away on their own

Wow, that looks cool!

Some notes:

-This is the first Driver game I've played where your car turns into a gray square & drives away upon wrecking.
-If your car gets hit in one of the rear fenders, NEVER turn away from the other vehicle! Turn towards it!

Hahaha at the first note. Don't worry, I'll replace the gray square and also add an explosion.
And yes the second note is very important. That is something i am trying to figure out how to fix. If you remember that glitch was also in the original build released 2 years ago. I have some ideas though. :wink:

Thanks! I'm glad everyone is liking the damage system! Even the simplest "nice work" helps me by letting me know that the damage system is to the community's likings! :)

I was a bit afraid when i've readed which program you used to make the cars, but it actually turns out good. They have some sort of comic look which i wont mind i nthe final game. The only real complaints are those what Wheelman said already.

I am not designing the damage on the cars for the game anymore though do to the fact I cannot get the tracings right and I don't have time to create damage layers for over 40 vehicles. Thanks for the feedback!
