Is there a way to use the game on not supported hardware?
I have an old IBM Thinkpad 770E I want to use for old games and most things are working great but Driver doesn't like the f****** Trident 9397 video card with 4megs. The card runs through the directx 8.1 DirectDraw and Direct3D test without any problems and has over 200 points in 3dMark99 so I think it has 3d support!

Is there a Patch out there to run the game wirth this card?

So, buying a new pc is a scrapped idea, right? Probably if you had a video card like a Riva TNT or a Voodoo 2/3, you'd might run it.

What I meant to suggest was that maybe it was not your type of video card, but your size. 4MB will not cut it. I would not be able to even run NFS2 with that! If you want something for old gaming, just get a virtual machine which has larger video memory, but it won't run Driver because it only supports DirectX 6 and below while Driver requires DirectX 7. Why not just run it on a good computer? That's what I am doing, and I don't have a single problem. My computer actually has a pretty advanced video card that old games usually do not support, but Driver does for some reason.
