Just an update from the theme designer - I am dedicating this week to finishing the new theme I've been working on. It's a modified version of Terayon 4.024, made by Lithovation Studios. It's going to be heavily modified and revamped unlike the old theme, which was strictly a recolor. Our old theme runs on 4.010...yeah, it's old. Unlike before, the theme will get slight updates here and there whenever Terayon 4 is updated, since the functionality will stay the same (just a different design).

I originally wanted it to be a surprise, however this recent downtime has made that impossible. You can enable the theme and watch it progress as I work on it by going into your personal settings --> board preferences and change the board style to "Madness V3 Beta" (name not final). Thanks for your continued support, everyone!

You can use the beta theme, it's kinda bright right now (just a little unfinished).

Sorry for the late reply. No, it was not lost, I just don't want people getting too attached to it since we're going back to a darker-ish theme :P

I would really suggest finding a theme that already exists and that fits to the Driver style, this way you can be 100% sure that it will be displayed correctly on all browsers :) The styles found on phpBB.com are all W3 validated so they're basically perfect :) It saves a lot of work and you never miss any small details! Later then you can of course change small things such as the header, or the forum icons, to make it fit the Driver style! :specialdriver:

I am perfectly capable of making W3 validated HTML code. It's the way PHPBB3 parses all of the template files that may cause some weird behavior. This is an excellent theme and I've been working hard to make it perform as best as possible. I'm not even 25% complete on the work I will be doing. Good things take time.

Nah I'm not lazy. I'm polishing up my webdesign skills, what better way to do that than to work on projects? I love working on DM.

True! :)

I was always lazy for that kind of stuff and always gave up creating custom themes after a time, because in the end there was always that one page that only a minor group would see and that had the wrong style for example. It really frustrated me haha :D (It's hard sometimes to find out for which stuff each code in the CSS template stands for. Often I would see the difference clearly, but often I wouldn't because let's be honest, how many times do I logout from a subforum as a user waiting for registration approval?) It's definitely a lot to do, but yes, also good exercise if you're into it :) So keep it up ;)
