It does get glitchy sometimes in film director mode, either when too much is happening or just general glitchyness. Here's one where the 'cock-pit' camera view is supposed to be, but it doesn't appear, instead it shows the view of what you don't normally see, but in the same place...if that makes sense.
I have another film director glitch which I'll hopefully upload at some point, where I can make the manual camera go really far away in San Fran, and ends up going in parts of the map, which don't render (or load) because you're technically no way near it in your car. Again...if that makes sense.

Not sure about this length of time, but it it does do it on other cars. Sometimes, in film director (like as soon as you're in control of the car when you get one out of the garage) for about a split second it can show this sort of view.

Here's a new video (not public on youtube yet) but just showing the glitch film director has when I start messing about with it, you can take the manual camera really far away from it's normal area and it shows how far San Fran loads/ renders...

Great! This will allow to make more cinematic replays.

Please take note that it was never mentioned that you could 'record' from far away. As soon as you you play the video, the manual camera will go all the way back near where 'you' (Tanner) are. This video was purely to show that you can take the camera really far away and go off land etc,, but at only the point of when Tanner is in shift mode. It's quite difficult to explain, but as you can see in the video there is no weather, just a bright white sky, this is what you get when you are in shift mode. The first split second that you go into shift mode it allows me to do this with the camera. If you would like a further explanation or a little video of how it's done just let me know. Sorry to disappoint.

Yeah, I know. When I first came across it I was thinking the exact same thing, I'm still trying to see if there is a way to do it though.
