It would be nice to see the next Driver game being fully modable. It would bring new options for the game and a longer longetivity. And also it would bring more Driver fans.

I mean not only texture modding, but the ability to model new cars, pedestrians, create new missions, change physics, sounds and so on. Even for the newer consoles it could be possible. How? Simple by uploading your creations in a server on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network and people could transfer them to their consoles. Now you ask me: How would we upload the mods? Simple by converting your creations with respective tools on your PC to the game understand them, so you transfer it to your console via the USB port to your HDD and you upload it in the server.

Some developers could be unhappy with people changing their work? Yeah, they could, however they would also see that the game was a sucess and was worth spend a lot of time on it and they would see people happy with it. They would also see that it could bring new ideas for futures instalments or even for brand new franchises.

About the tools? It wouldn't be much a problem. The developers could create tools to we change the game for our taste and show off for other people. Even if they didn't released tools, they could do like Rockstar do with GTA. They don't oficially support modding, but they make the game easy to mod, and you can obviously see it in the tons of mods that are avaible for GTA in the internet.

As I mentioned above, it would bring new Driver fans and recuperate old ones that stoped with the series after the poor reception of Driv3r and Parallel Lines. It would bring the series to a new horizont and probably the series would become again a important series like in was in the past.
